SUPPORTERS of suspended priest Father Eddie Panlilio are appealing for help to reelect him as governor of Pampanga province.
Panlilio, 56, is running against the well-funded campaign of Lilia Pineda, an ally of President Gloria Arroyo.
Businessman Patrick Pantaleon, who is raising support for the priest, said in a letter that Panlilio needed financial backing if he was to win.
Pantaleon belongs to more than 50 groups in Metro Manila supporting Panlilio’s bid for reelection on May 10.
